1964-1965

  • 🏟 St Austell Bay Badminton Cub originally known as the New Cornish Riviera Badminton Club is founded. It had over 50 members playing at the Cornwall Coliseum in Carlyon Bay.

1968-1969

  • 🏟 The club is advised that from September 1968 the New Cornish Riviera site will be unavailable. This prompted a move briefly to the Drill Hall in St&nbspBlazey and then to St Marys Hall also in St&nbspBlazey.

1974-1975

  • 🏟 In 1974 the club moved to Polkyth Leisure Centre where it still plays today and was renamed St Austell Bay Badminton Club.

1997-1998

  • 🏸 St Austell Bay Badminton Cub (SABBC) linked with Par club in 1997. At a meeting of both committees, it was agreed that SABBC would take over Par Club, as their membership was in decline. So at the AGM in April 1998 SABBC welcomed some of their members to the committee and resolved to maintain the status quo of their remaining members. Thursday nights at Penrice Academy continued, and it was decided to utilize the court time for matches, thus breaking away from Poltair School on a Saturday night.
